Club Balai Isabel, Batangas: A quick beach staycation

Are you looking for a quick beach staycation? Batangas would be the best option! Since summer is quickly approaching, I decided to go by spending and experience the attractive scenery at Club Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batangas.

Right on the shores of the world-famous Taal Lake and across from its volcano is a place where you can relax, connect and be with nature. Club Balai Isabel offers an option for an active lifestyle with all the comforts of city living. A mere fifteen minutes from the Tagaytay ridge, it offers an up-close and personal view of the lake and its world-famous volcano.

For years, Tagaytay has been made famous by its view of Taal Lake and its volcano. However, the lakeside towns never became tourist destinations due to the lack of resort facilities. Manila-based developer Techno-Asia changed that two years ago when it planned to create a residential resort community called Club Balai Isabel. Today, Techno-Asia’s vision has grown from a four-hectare private subdivision to a nine-hectare resort.

Club Balai Isabel’s amenities and facilities make it an excellent choice for holidays, corporate events, and special occasions. Enjoy the food served at the Terraza Cafe, take a refreshing dip in the pool, hang out in the cabanas; enjoy more active pursuits such as kayaking and sailing, or take a boat ride and get a closer look at Taal Volcano’s crater on horseback or on foot.

The lush greenery and the proximity to the lake and the world’s smallest volcano make Club Balai Isabel perfect for an eco-tourism destination for environmental enthusiasts. They will be doubly glad to discover that the resort does its best to do its part in conservation and finds ways to minimize any negative impact on the environment.

Aside from the pool, Club Balai Isabel offers a lot of amenities. Got a chance to try the traitional massage (Php 300/30 mins). They also offer water sports activities such as banana boat, flying fish, and jet ski.

The best and fastest way to go here is via car. Just head to SLEX and exit at Sta. Rosa then head to Talisay. Club Balai Isabel is just along the road.  Travel time is around an hour or two depending on the traffic.
If via commute:
1. Ride a bus at Cubao bound to Sta. Rosa (Php 96). Tell the driver to drop you off at the terminal to Tanuan.
2. Ride a jeep going to Tanuan (Php 10) and drop off at the intersection. Just tell the driver you’re going to Talisay.
3. Walk to your left until you see a market and a terminal station bound to Talisay. Fare is Php 28. Drop off at Club Balai Isabel.
Travel time is around 3 hours since you’ll pass through Tanauan.

The Grillery: Steaks and Home Recipes

A must visit restaurant when you’re around Tarlac City. Foods are very yum! And not too expensive either.

A cozy place to stay. Good food, good ambiance and good music! The Grillery is one of my favorite places to go for a glass of cocktail and their mouth-watering signature steak!

TRIVIA:  Did you know that “The Grillery” is the first and only urban restaurant and bar in Tarlac City?

Btw, there were separate air-conditioned and open spaces. You can watch TV or just chill from the music playing on the background. Good for hanging-out with family and friends!
